National Executive Commmittee

The National Executive Committee (NEC) is the elected body tasked with managing the SANParks Honorary Rangers on a national level.

The function of the NEC is to manage the contact and coordination with SANParks, ensure the orderly functioning of the movement and facilitate the setting of priorities for the movement as a whole.

The NEC consists out of a chairperson, two vice-chairpersons (North and South) and a number of members with specific portfolios. The NEC is elected annually at the Indaba (AGM) by the representatives of the HR regions.

André Vosloo

Our vice-chairperson André Vosloo unexpectedly passed away during December 2012.

André was a member of the Boland Region and vice-chairperson responsible for our Southern regions. He was a member of the NEC for 11 years and had the portfolio for legal compliance.

André was an exceptional and respected person and was an inspiration to all of us. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Our condolences go to his wife and family.

Janssen Davies

Janssen is responsible to liaise with SANParks executive committee and staff and oversee the organisation's affairs at national level.

Andre Vosloo

André passed away during December 2012.

Andre Van der Merwe

Andre is responsible for corporate financial and administrative governance. He also liaises with the regions in the Northern section of the country.

Financial Management

Kendel Janson

Kendel is responsible for the financial reporting of the organisation. She ensures that the financial system is aligned with SANParks and the information is meaningful, concise and compliant.

Transformation & Retention

Willie Maluleke

Willie coordinates transformation by helping regions to ensure that membership of historically disadvantaged individuals show a steady growth and membership numbers of younger adults increase.

Coordination National Projects

Eugene Joubert

Eugene represents the national projects on the NEC level, and assist them to grow in ability and become truly national. He also facilitates their reporting functions.

Statistics, National Corporate Sponsors & Members Administration

Des Bothma

Des manages the movement's data and reporting system. He is also responsible to develop our management systems, and build links with corporate sponsors.

National Fundraising & Friends of SANParks

Fundraising activities on a national level, and maintains the database of "Friends of SANParks."

Public Relations & Communication

Louis Lemmer

Louis is responsible for marketing and communication governance and to promote the SANParks Honorary Rangers brand. He is responsible for the implementation of an integrated marketing and communication strategy on all levels of the organisation to facilitate communication with and between members, SANParks and the public.

Skills development

George Smith

George facilitates the process of members attaining the required skills, and the training

and accreditation of course facilitators.

Legal compliance and constitution

Willie de Beer has been co-opted to manage this portfolio. Legal compliance and maintaining the constitution, including its administrative rules and the code of conduct.
