LOCATION:

We are located in the Tsitsikamma Section of the Garden Route National Park. HR's of this section come from Tsitsikamma, Natures Valley, Kareedouw, Jeffreys Bay and Port Elizabeth.

MEETINGS:

The dates for meetings are decided on at the first meeting of the year. Meetings are usually on Saturdays at 09:00.

Meetings are usually held at Tsitsikamma but occasionally meetings are held at Kareedouw, Natures Valley, Jeffreys Bay and Port Elizabeth (in this way PE-based HR's do not need to travel that far for every meeting)

PROJECTS:

• Project 1: Big Tree project. Two of our HR's, Schalk and Hanlie Fourie, are involved in the planning stages (together with the Garden Route National Park) of this project which has to do with new facilities at the Big Tree.
• Anti-poaching Exhibits: Anti-poaching exhibits are occasionally done by Nick Coetzee, one of our HR's, at the Park Shop / Restaurant Area at the Park to focus the attention of the public on this matter.
• Rock Pool Exploration: During the December / January- and Easter holidays rock pool exploration are done for visitors and holiday makers at the park. We aim to show those who attend the wonders which lie beneath the rocky shores of Tsitsikamma and also educate them why the protection of this environment is so important.
