Legacy of Nelson Mandela at the Orlando West Secondary School
SANParks and the SANParks Honorary Rangers joined hands to celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela at the Orlando West Secondary School in Soweto on 24 July 2025. The school borders the SANParks satellite office in Vilakazi Street, Soweto. Like SANParks, the SANParks Honorary Rangers places an increasingly high premium on socio-economic development and transformation within the changing paradigm of conservation in South Africa. This event provided an opportunity to hand over toiletries and essential sanitary items to learners on Mandela Day.
