Amdec donates R1 million to SANParks Honorary Rangers

Over the past four years, Amdec Group has handed over a whopping R1 million to the Conservation Services National Project of the SANParks Honorary Rangers.  This is a significant boost for conservation, with funds being allocated to SANParks counter-poaching initiatives and ranger support services.

It all started several years ago when John Wilson, Chairman of Amdec Group, approached Janssen Davies of the SANParks Honorary Rangers’ Conservation Services National Project for advice on how to support rhino anti-poaching activities.

The result is that, for four consecutive years, Amdec has donated R250 000 per year to the SANParks Honorary Rangers Conservation Services National Project – R1 million in total.

On 8 March 2019, a hand-over ceremony was held at the Amdec Headquarters in Steenberg Office Park in Cape Town. John Wilson handed over the fourth cheque of R250 000 to Janssen Davies.

The funds will be utilised to support, train and equip our field rangers and provide them with the aerial support and equipment needed for their vital counter-poaching work in our national parks.

The Amdec Group is a property development and investment business focussing on New Urban lifestyles, such as the Melrose Arch, the Evergreen Lifestyles brand, XtraSpace self-storage facilities and other mixed-use, residential and commercial developments.
