Her visit to Skukuza was arranged by the Lowveld Region of the SANParks Honorary Rangers.

SANParks Honorary Rangers

SANParks Honorary Rangers is the official volunteer organization of SANParks. Over the past 10 years, we have provided SANParks with over R248,6 million in public and business donations and volunteer support.

What we do

The SANParks Honorary Rangers volunteer organisation is open to people with a passion for nature and South African National Parks. We facilitate various activities through which the public can become involved in support of SANParks and enjoy the wonder of our natural heritage.

World Pangolin Day 2021

What is a pangolin? Despite appearances these animals aren't reptiles, as many people believe. In fact, they are the world's only scaly mammal — hence their other name, scaly anteaters. The creatures can grow to up to a meter in length, or around 3 feet. Eight species can be found living across parts of Asia and Africa.
