We are proud to welcome you to the new Morukuru Bush Camp in the heart of Marakele National Park. Part of the Waterberg biosphere, Morukuru Bush Camp is rustic, secluded, peaceful and private. Pitch your tent in a grove of sheltering Tamboti trees – which give the camp its name – tantalizingly close to nature and wild animals passing by.
The Marakele National Park boasts spectacular scenic vistas and landscapes, flora and fauna, including the Big 5. Here, you can enjoy malaria-free walks in the bush with qualified and experienced field guides. Bird watching is particularly rewarding, with 400 bird species recorded here, including a large colony of endangered Cape Vultures. If lucky, you may spot the rare Kransberg widow butterfly, found nowhere else on earth.
An easy drive from Gauteng, this secluded haven deep within the bushveld will steal your heart and soothe your soul. Camps run Friday to Sunday (3 days 2 nights). Please enquire for availability.
