Integrated Report 2018/2019

Purpose of this report The South African National Parks (SANParks) Honorary Rangers (SHR) produces an annual integrated report to explain our purpose and how we satisfy our members’ need for meaningful volunteer activities in our National Parks. We also explain how we add value to SANParks and how much our members’ contributions matter – the spirit of the SHR . This year in particular we recognise the importance of our volunteer corps and the necessity to protect it while re-engineering our governance after our members approved the re-engineering of the SHR at our special general meeting (SGM). Read more on page 11. Finally, we seek through this report to demonstrate our commitment to good governance and effective use of the resources entrusted to us in support of South African conservation. This year we will be printing fewer Integrated Report copies, in line with our conservation mandate, and will be relying much more on electronic versions of the document. Approval statement the Interim Board is responsible for the integrity of this integrated report and applied its collective mind to the preparation and presentation of this report.
