2 125 Volunteer members Constituted in 1964, the SHR is organised into a regional structure. Each Region and National Project has its own management committee, looks after its own finances and activities and decides which of the national parks to support. Through a wish list system, the JLC approves duties to be undertaken by members, capital requirements (i.e. funding or equipment requirements) for parks, items to be donated, as well as approved fundraising projects.
