Contact Kevin Conway lowveldchairperson@sanparksvolunteers.org Bush clearing and the refurbishment of the boardwalk was completed in March 2024 at a cost of R461 000. Newly designed interpretative panels will soon be installed. Wetlands provide essential functions in healthy ecosystems. The objective of the boardwalk is to showcase the importance of wetlands, and to raise awareness of the need to preserve them. The boardwalk remains a testament to conservation and educational efforts within the Kruger National Park. Concurrently, significant improvements were made to the nursery, including new pathways, concrete paving, and a kiddies’ fun trail incorporating educational riddle boards. The restored asset offers an inviting and informative destination for nature lovers, where they can stretch their legs and learn something new about the park’s ecosystems.
