Serious birding kicked off early on Saturday morning. Teams went their separate ways to spot as many birds as possible before ending the day with a convivial social gathering. On Sunday, teams gathered early for the big reveal of the winners. Great fun was had by all and a repeat event is planned for 2024. In March 2024, a Lark Identification Course was presented by Ulrich Oberprieler. The weekend included two birding drives guided by Ulrich, as well as a Lark Identification Course consisting of theory and practical sessions. This was an enjoyable and informative weekend and Ulrich is thanked for his contribution. Proceeds of both birding events go towards conservation projects in the Mountain Zebra National Park.
