Members and attendance The I&TCo’s purpose is to assist the Board with governance of the IT management of the SANParks Honorary Rangers to ensure: • existing information, communication and technology (ICT) systems are safe, sustainable and compliant (i.e. secure, auditable and recoverable); • architectural principles are defined and processes are implemented to ensure adherence to the principles. These architectural principles should support meaningful reporting, a reduced administration burden for SHR members and one-click donations for potential donors; • IT policies are implemented and maintained and that necessary declarations are obtained from those working with SHR information, communication and/or technology; • a software development life cycle proportionate to the SHR is defined and implemented; and • budgeting, funding and prioritisation of the SHR’s ICT requirements are adequately prepared and motivated.
