International Volunteer Day

December 5th is “INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY”. This is a day to celebrate people who give freely of their time, skills and resources to make the world a better place.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our members and celebrate their contribution to conservation.  Your initiatives have helped to raise funds and provide support that help to maintain and protect our national parks.

During the 2019/2020 financial year SANParks Honorary Rangers donated 342,712 hours of their time and drove over 3,300,000 kilometres in their own vehicles whilst volunteering to assist SANParks in their mandate to conserve South Africa’s natural heritage.

We salute you for your passion and commitment!
