The SANParks Honorary Rangers, Karoo Region, invites you to join us for a three-day MTB challenge and trail run in honour of Sylverster the Lion, who famously escaped from the Karoo National Park on two separate occasions. We are pleased to report that Sylvester has settled in the Kuzuko Reserve and has fathered cubs. The Sylvester MTB Challenge pays tribute to his happy ending with a sanctioned 3-day event and includes a one-day option, a trail run and a fun ride.

The SANParks Honorary Rangers were proud to have assisted with tracking Sylvester, and the proceeds of this event will be used to fund conservation projects in the Karoo National Park.
